Erik Schreur, Lowell, Michigan

Erik is the son of Philip and Victoria Schreur of Lowell. He was born on January 28, 1987, and has an older sister, Elizabeth. Erik has been home schooled for eleven years. Raised in a Christian home, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of five. He and his family attend West Cannon Baptist Church.

For five years he played saxophone with the West Michigan Home School Band program including: Concert Band, Woodwind Ensemble, Choir, and the Northern Lights Marching Band. He performed for two years with the Exit 39 Jazz Band. At KC/TC, he won first place for his drawings in Mechanical Engineering and Geographic Information Systems in the Michigan Industrial & Technology Education Society competition and first place state wide for his Mechanical Design drawing. He has been involved with the Junior Rifle Program at the Western Michigan Rifle and Pistol Club for three years. In the MUCC rifle competition, he placed 5th state wide. Erik was an eight year member of 4-H, receiving two state awards at the Kent County Youth Fair, and was a 4-H Youth Ambassador for the hundredth year of 4-H. Erik works with his father in the residential construction business. He will be starting classes at Grand Rapids Community College this summer, majoring in engineering.

 

Bailey VanTol
Daughter of Ken and Pat VanTol of Freeport, Michigan

Through her high school years, Bailey has been active in the family business, working in the finish and marketing departments. She enjoys horseback riding, snowboarding and canoeing, along with spending time with her friends and family. Bailey has been involved with the Student Statesmanship Summer camps for the last three years and has worked with the Spence Abraham and Terri Land campaigns over the past years. Bailey will pursue her interests in art by attending Kendall College.
