Jody Mack,
son of Tom & Kim Mack, Wyoming

Jody is role modeling for 3 younger siblings, Nicole, Jeremy, and Mason, and doing a wonderful job. He has been homeschooled all his life. He has been in the workplace for 1 1/2 years. He loves building computers and working on cars. After graduation, he will be attending GRCC for automotive repair and some day plans to restore his 1966 Chevy truck with his Dad.

Jared Gabriel March,
son of Scott & Wendy March, Belding

Jared Gabriel March, second born son of six to Scott & Wendy March.

Jared has participated in the WMHSB since its beginning in 1996. He has performed in the Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced & Concert Bands, Symphony Orchestra, Brass Ensemble, Horns of Glory, Marching Band, Boys Choir, Chorale, and Eartraining / Conducting. He has served as Drum Major for two years with Northern Lights Marching Band. He played lead trumpet in the Greenville High School Jazz band for four years, and lead trumpet in the “Sound of Music,” “Music Man,” “Titanic” and “Fiddler” musicals. Some of Jared’s favorite memories with band are: All band trips, playing with the brass ensemble on the ice at the VanAndel, and riding on the carousel at Rivertown with the brass ensemble.

He has received MSBOA District and State ratings in Trumpet and Piano for 6 plus years for solo and ensemble performances. He performed in the District 10 HS Honors Band in 2004, and All-State Honors Orchestra in 2006. He was selected as lead trumpet in the 2006 All-Stars TAC-Felpausch Jazz Festival.

Jared earned the Presidential Award for Educational Excellence for three years and a 2006 Congressional Medal of Merit. He is a member of The National Honor Roll and The National Society of High School Scholars.

He will be attending WMU School of Music this fall and pursuing a BA in Music Ed.
