Kaylee Brenner-VanDenBrink,
daughter of Bob & Pam, Hopkins
Kaylee Brenner-VanDenBrink is the daughter of Bob & Pam. She loves working with animals and showing her horses. She's an active member in 4-H. In 2005 she was Sportsman of the Year and Grand Champion Showman at Allegan County Fair. In 2006, she placed 3rd in Horsemanship at the Michigan State Horse Show. Kaylee works at Monterey Veterinary Center and Camp Bow Wow Hudsonville. She graduated as an EMT-Basic from Wayland EMS. In the fall, Kaylee plans on continuing her EMT education. .

Grace Carolyn Buck
Grace Carolyn Buck, 18 years old, is one of nine children and has always been homeschooled. She attends Grand Rapids First Assembly and has been very active in Fine Arts competitions for five years. Grace has a deep love for Jesus, missions, and fine arts of all kinds. She was in WMHFA for seven years in Band, Choir, Chorale and Handbells, as well as many HPA musicals such as The Music Man, Titanic, Fiddler on the Roof, and most recently, as "Mayzie" in Seussical. Last May God opened the door for Grace to go to Zambia, Africa. Grace is pursuing fine arts and African missions.

Alexis Disterheft
Daughter of Dennis & Monica Disterheft Hudsonville
Alexis Disterheft has been home schooled for 10 years. She has participated in WMHFA for 7 years band, orchestra, woodwind ensemble, marching band, senior color guard, and 40 Days competitive winter guard. She has also participated in solo and ensemble festivals where she has received high ratings at both district and state for flute, bassoon and piano. She was principal flutist in the St. Cecilia's Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, 10th and 11th grades and bassoonist in Grand Rapids Youth Symphony, 12th grade. She is a recipient of a 2007 Congressional Medal of Merit. She will be traveling to Mexico this summer to work with the children in Guadalajara. Alexis plans on attending Western Michigan University majoring in music education. She hopes to continue to discover and follow God's plan for her life as she pursues further education and a career for herself.

Christine Noelle Lutes
daughter of Michael & Suzette Lutes
Christine Noelle Lutes, daughter of Michael and Suzette Lutes and child of God, has been homeschooled her whole life. The highlight of her high school years has been joining HPA and playing "Jane" in HPA's Jane Eyre the musical. She was also in HPA's choir, drama, choreography, Annie, Little Women, and Wizard of Oz. She has also taken 4 years of dance lessons which included ballet, tap, and jazz. After graduation she would like to further her studies in music and theater, but is open to whatever God has planned for her. "I would like to thank God for...everything, my parents for their unfailing love and support and for taking the excessive amount of time driving me to rehearsals (show week can be a killer!), my five brothers and sisters for being so supportive of my dreams and always making me laugh, and Mr. Garnaat, Mrs. Hoffbeck, and Mrs. Noorman for everything they have taught me and for giving me the opportunities to praise God through theater."

Ingrid Jan Scheer,
daughter of Herbert & May Beth Scheer, Grand Rapids
Ingrid Scheer, age 17, has been educated at home for the last three years. She enjoys reading, soccer, biking, and outdoor sports. In addition, Ingrid is an active community volunteer at Northville Park Association and North End Community Ministry. She is currently dual enrolled at GRCC. Ingrid's plans for the future include attending Grand Valley State University next fall and majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Administration. We are very proud of our daughter's dedicated commitment to finish well and transition to the next season of life with excellence, glorifying God. You are a blessing to us Ingrid, we love you.

Megan Stoutjesdyk, daughter of Tom & Julie Stoutjesdyk, Cascade
Megan Stoutjesdyk, daughter of Tom and Julie Stoutjesdyk, enjoys playing the violin and mandolin and studying and listening to music. Megan looks forward to pursuing a future in missions and is already involved in a ministry on the sidewalks of Grand Rapids in front of area abortion clinics reaching women in crisis pregnancy with the hope that comes through Christ. From the time Megan was a little girls, her life verse has been Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on thine own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy Path." God bless you, Megan.

Michael Visser son of Henry & Carol Visser
Michael Visser, the oldest child of Henry and Carol Visser, was born in Holland, Michigan on December 31, 1988. He has been home-edjamakated (homeschooled) since 7th grade. He is currently dual-enrolled in homeschool and Grand Rapids Community College. He is a regular member of Resurrection Life Church in Grandville, where he plays guitar in a worship band. He plans to attend GRCC full time in the fall to pursue a dual major in Recording Technology and Music Performance (guitar). After completing an Associates degree, he plans to transfer to a four year college/university to pursue a Bachelors degree in music.

Oliver Washburn
son of Tim & Julie Washburn, Byron Center
Oliver Washburn is the second of six children born to Tim and Julie Washburn of Byron Center. He has four brothers and one sister and together they have always been educated at home. Ollie is a reader, enjoying a variety of subjects from BMX mags to Ernie Pyle's accounts of WWII. He's into BMX biking, snowboarding and other extreme things as evidenced by scars and x-rays. He's going into construction and starts an apprenticeship in May. Ollie, remember-you are God's workmanship, created in Christ to do good works, which he planned in advance for you to do.
